Artist Submission

Throughout the year, we accept resumes and portfolios of choreographers, composers and other collaborators interested in working with LACDC in the upcoming seasons. While we primarily commission Los Angeles-based collaborators, we are open to working with out-of-town collaborators periodically. Submit your proposal and supporting materials in the following online submission form and we will review them for consideration in future planning.

Once submitted, please know that we received your materials, and if there is interest we will contact you directly.  Thank you for supporting L.A. Contemporary Dance Company!

For choreographers: Please submit a resume or bio, a link to a 5 – 10 minute video of recent work,  an artistic statement describing a work you are interested in creating with LACDC, and why you are interested in working with LACDC specifically. If you have a previously constructed piece you would like us to consider to be set on the company as part of our repertoire, please include this on the video as well as a short description of the work.  With your resume, please provide at least 2 professional references (of dance companies or groups you have set work on. List the name of the person, role, and affiliated dance company name, the title and total running time of the work, along with a phone number or personal email address).

For composers: Please submit a resume or bio, a link to recent compositions, and a short description of how you would like to collaborate with LACDC including any ideas you may already have.

For visual artists and multi-media artists: Please submit a resume, a link to samples of your work (portfolio, photos, video, etc.) and a short description of how you would like to collaborate with LACDC including any ideas you may already have.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT DANCER SUBMISSIONS.  To be considered for the company, you must attend one of our in-person auditions.  Sign up for our newsletter to stay updated.
