Sandy Strangis

Bio

Sandy Strangis (she/her) was born and raised in Maple Grove, MN where she trained  at The Dance Complex from the age of 3 - 18. She then attended The University of Arizona School of Dance, graduating with her BFA in Dance in 2020. At the University she performed in works by Amy Ernst, Chris Compton, Sam Watson, Larry Keigwin's Megalopolis, and Martha Graham's Panorama with the Martha Graham Dance Co. She traveled with a select group of dancers to perform in a piece by Jared Baker at the Palm Desert Choreography Festival 2018. While attending the University, she was a part of local contemporary dance company called Hawkins Dance Co 2018-2020. With them she performed at the Breaking Ground Contemporary Dance Festival in Tempe, AZ 2020. To further her dance education she trained at Orsolina 28 Forsythe Pite Intensive 2018, Ate9 Winter Intensive 2019, and was a Virtual Apprentice with Parsons Dance Co 2020-2021. 

Sandy moved to Los Angeles in 2021 and began dancing professionally in small commercials, industrials, and music videos. She is currently a company member with Mashup Contemporary Dance Co and with them has performed in works by Waeli Wang, Victoria Brown, Sarah Rodenhouse, and Stephanie Heckert. In July 2022 she performed in an ensemble piece created by Sara Silkin for Vacheron Constantin Watch Co event. Most recently she performed with company member J.M. Rodriguez and guest artist Sam McReynolds in a piece created by J.M. for artists showcase Can You Feel It? at Stomping Ground LA.
