Lee Gumbs' interest in photography started in elementary school when a photo he had taken for a project was chosen to be on display at a local fair. After purchasing his first SLR camera at the age of 16, he was able to learn his way around the many settings on a camera. During senior year of High School he was photographer on the yearbook staff capturing memories that would be with his graduating class for a lifetime.
Being a dancer since the age of 8, dance photography is a sure passion and focus of his. After graduating, he began touring with a dance company where he would use many of his cast members as subjects he photographed around the world. Lee has had the pleasure of photographing some of this industries most prestigious dancers dancing on hit shows; Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and for artists such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, and more. Lee collaborated with LACDC on the new photography commission: Tracing Hues.
