Guest Artist for upcoming Nov 2022 premieres.
Hunter Wayne was born and raised in small town Denver, North Carolina where he grew up in theatre, studying American Freestyle Karate and dancing at Star Struck Dance Studio. Hunter continued his dance training in college at UNC Charlotte where he helped develop & later became Artistic Director of the UNCC dance department’s first ever student-led organization - Range of Motion Dance Ensemble.
After graduating college, Hunter left home for New York City to further his training at the age of 22. While in NYC, he danced on tour with a contemporary ballet production titled, Sleeping Beauty Dreams, directed and choreographed by Edward Clug. During this time, he also performed in Billy Elliot, playing the role of “Older Billy” at Seacoast Repertory Theatre.
After 4 years in New York, Hunter landed in sunny Los Angeles where he has since been acting, dancing, and teaching indoor cycling. You can catch him dancing heels in Todrick Hall’s “Bells, Bows, Gifts, Trees”, throwing his body in a church for Beacon Band’s “Be My Organ” music video, as well as a featured extra in Season 3: Episode 1 of The Deuce.
Hunter is thrilled to be a guest artist with L.A. Contemporary Dance Company this season and is looking forward to his ever-flowing career as a movement artist.
