Emily Wanserski


A dancer and choreographer, Emily Wanserski is inspired by creation at the intersection of movement and immersive technology. As the Executive Producer of RareFaction Interactive, she leads the company's efforts in generating movement-based work and manages the company's creative, logistic, and financial processes. Previously, Emily worked with Hollywood Production Designer Alex McDowell, RDI (Fight Club, Minority Report, Man of Steel) at 5D Global Studio, a cross-discipline design studio whose clients included Boeing, Intel, Unity, Sundance, and Warner Brothers, among others. From 2011-2014, Emily was the Managing Director of Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre, a site-specific performance company in LA; she has also worked with Parsons Dance and Keigwin + Company in Manhattan. 

Currently, Emily is on the University of Michigan's School of Literature Science and the Arts Young Alumni Council. She recently spoke at the Conference for Research on Choreographic Interfaces 2016 at Brown University, as well as Design For Dance 2016 and the 2016 Dance/USA conference. She holds dual degrees—BA in Political Science and a BFA in Dance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
