SPRING FUND DRIVE IS A BIG SUCCESS!

Due to all of your wonderful efforts we are proud to say that we have raised $4,583.00 for the Spring Fund Drive!! Congratulations and thank you to all of our gracious supporters!

Now that the fundraiser is over we will turn our attention to the Langworthy Foundation, who has generously sponsored a match grant to support continued operations and artist employment at LACDC. (Norma Langworthy, dancer and Broadway producer pictured).

Continuing Support Throughout the Year

You may be asking yourself…how does my dollar make a difference? Here’s how:

It is a new era and the days of 1 or 2 people donating thousands of dollars to arts organizations is a thing of the past. It takes many people making small donations within their means that sustains non-profit organizations like us. This is exciting to LACDC. We love the idea of community and greatly value that not a few, but hundreds of people believe that it is important to support cultural institutions, employ artists, and provide high-quality performances for the public at an affordable ticket price.

Donations come in all shapes and sizes from donated goods and services, to airline miles, to small and large dollar amounts, to grants and foundation support. It ALL counts! As an individual, you should never feel like a small donation does not have a significant impact. It does. Case example:

Last year during our “Value System” telethon fundraiser, we had over 60 people donate to meet our match grant challenge of $5000. Donations varied in size from $5 - $1000. But, what is noteworthy is 75% of those donations were $50 and under.

The bottom line… you do not need to be rolling in dough to champion a cause and support something you believe in. You should feel proud of the support you are providing no matter the dollar amount. We are certainly grateful for it.
