Gods and Marionettes
June 2010 / January 2011
Ford Amphitheatre / USC Bovard Auditorium
PRESS RELEASE: "Based on the great myths of Greek Tragedy, Gods and Marionettes is inspired by the creators’ research into the primitive ingredients of tragic theatre – text, movement and song. Six singers, seven dancers and a single actor present this startling and epic investigation into the role of the gods in our lives and the influence of our passion and free will on our actions. The haunting sounds of Sonos, the stunning movements of LACDC, the wit and poetry of the narrator, and the contemporary vision of the directors, has produced a remarkable theatrical event that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Learn more at www.godsandmarionettes.com."
Gods and Marionettes was premiered at the Ford Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, CA on June 18, 2010, and presented by Visions and Voices with Spectrum at the University of Southern California's Bovard Auditorium on January 29 & 30, 2011."
