Micaela Taylor is a professional dancer/choreographer from Los Angeles, CA, where she trained at Marat Daukayev School of Ballet and Los Angeles County High School of the Arts. She graduated from Cornish College of the Arts and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance, 2014. She has worked and performed with The Pendleton House, Anna Conner & Co., Ate9 Dance Company, Zoe Scofield, Camille A. Brown, Kate Wallich, & BODYTRAFFIC. She choreographically contributed to Ate9’s “Kelev Lavan” apart of the After Dark Series at The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Her choreographic passion led her to found Los Angeles based contemporary dance company, The TL Collective. Since the launch of The TL Collective, she has choreographed and performed works; 3REMAIN (2015) and Ruth (2016), and Pop (2016) nationally and internationally. She was pilot resident at the Lake Studios Berlin in Berlin, Germany in April, 2016, where she was named “Pop Sensation 2016” by Berlin’s Artrabbit Magazine. Micaela’s work has been presented by Highways Performance Space, Lake Studios Berlin, and Arise Theatre.
Most recently, Taylor has been commissioned to choreograph for L.A. Contemporary Dance Company’s fall season and her first full evening length with The TL Collective; Molecular Fuel, presented through Highways Performance Space Fall Season. www.micaelataylor.com
