LACDC | Angel Tyson

Angel Tyson started her training in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, and gymnastics at the early age of 3. At age 11, she started training every summer at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles where she studied with many of todayʼs hottest choreographers and teachers such as Billy Larson, Nick Watkins, Emily Shock, Tokyo, Sonya Tayeh, Sayat Asatryan, Olga Pavolova, and Henry Danton. She has also traveled the country assisting Tokyo and Nick Watkins. Angel was the competition director and choreographer for Gulf Coast School of Performing Arts for 3 years, and her award winning choreography has been recognized throughout the south for its unique style. Currently residing in Los Angeles, she is a company member at LA Contemporary Dance Company under the direction of Kate Hutter and MashUp Contemporary Dance Company under the direction of Victoria Brown and Sarah Rodenhouse.
