This is an excellent way to experience Kate's work and for her to become familiar with you if you're interested in auditioning for LACDC in the future. $10 class fee, reservations not required, join any week
JUNE 2008 Pop Rocks! From the kids of rock and roll to the MTV generation, audiences of all ages will enjoy this evening of dance, music and interactive performances by the L.A. Contemporary Dance Company. Accompanied by a live DJ, the dancers and choreographers of LACDC will weave together an evening of unique dance pieces created by blending contemporary and street dance styles. The Culver City High School Gymnasium will be transformed into a rock concert venue with seating on both sides of the dance floor allowing audiences to have a unique perspective on the work. Choreographers: Kate Hutter, LACDC company members, and guest choreographers Leslie Scott and Jolieba Jackson. This performance is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Culver City Art in Public Places Fund with support from the Sony Pictures Entertainment Platinum Sponsorship.
